HOW WE STARTED
My name is Peter Jacobus Jr., and I founded Blue Line Excursions out of respect and gratitude for those who serve.
With a son recently sworn in as a police officer, and generations of military and law enforcement service in my family, I’ve seen the weight of duty, the stress, the silence, and the strength it takes to keep showing up. I wanted to create a place where First Responders, Veterans, and their families could pause, reconnect, and feel appreciated.
So I turned to what I’ve always loved: the water.
Based in Grand Haven, Michigan, Blue Line Excursions offers free and donation-based boating trips on Lake Michigan. From sunset cruises to fishing charters and day trips. These aren’t just outings; they’re intentional moments of peace, conversation, and healing for people who rarely ask for anything in return.
Though we are in our early stages, our crew and support are growing. I serve as captain and president, alongside a dedicated board and volunteers. Together, we’re building this mission through sponsorships, grants, donations, and community partnerships. Ensuring these experiences remain sustainable and accessible.
This isn’t charity. It’s gratitude in motion.
If our mission resonates with you, I’d be honored to connect.
Captain Pete
