HOW WE STARTED
My name is Peter Jacobus Jr., and I founded Blue Line Excursions out of respect and gratitude for those who serve.
With a son recently sworn in as a police officer, and generations of military and law enforcement service in my family, I’ve seen the weight of duty, the stress, the silence, and the strength it takes to keep showing up. I wanted to create a place where First Responders, Veterans, and their families could pause, reconnect, and feel appreciated.
So I turned to what I’ve always loved: the water.
Based in Grand Haven, Michigan, Blue Line Excursions provides free and donation-based boating experiences on Lake Michigan—from sunset cruises to fishing charters and day trips. These are not just outings; they are intentional moments of calm, conversation, and healing for those who rarely ask for anything in return.
As we prepare for the 2026 launch of our vessel and mission, Blue Line Excursions is being built with purpose and care. I serve as captain and president alongside a dedicated board, committed volunteers, and a growing team of licensed mental health professionals. Together, we are creating a collaborative model that brings therapists together with First Responders, Veterans, and their families in a supportive, real-world setting that encourages connection, restoration, and proactive care.
Through sponsorships, grants, donations, and community partnerships, we are building a sustainable program designed to support those in need today while investing in the long-term well-being of future generations who will serve our communities.
This isn’t charity. It’s gratitude in motion.
If our mission resonates with you, I’d be honored to connect.
